Matthew’s love for aviation began when he was just four-years-old – from then on, Matthew’s eyes were always pointed to the skies. With the support of his parents, Matthew began working towards his pilot license at the age of 13 and is now a licensed Pilot. After graduating from St. Joan of Arc High School in Barrie, Ontario, Matthew completed the Aviation Management program at Georgian College in 2012. Matthew started his aviation career at Genesis Flight College in Collingwood, Ontario as a Marketing Coordinator, where the fundamental roots of Ready Set Fly began. Matthew’s professional experience includes his previous role as a Crew Scheduler with Porter Airlines, as well as his current role as an Operations Control Manager at Skyregional Airlines – a proud partner of Air Canada. Matthew’s passion towards aviation is seen throughout high schools all over Ontario where Matthew inspires future Canadian aviation professionals.
Bruno TucciAircraft Maintenance Engineer Specialist (AME)
Bruno got his start in 2008 where he joined Kelowna flightcraft in Hamiltion, Ontario as an aircraft mechanic apprentice. He worked towards his AME license on a few different aircraft including the Boeing 727, 737, 757, and DC10. He obtained his aircraft maintenance engineer’s license in 2011 and then joined Skyservice Business Aviation in Toronto in 2012. Over the past six years at Skyservice, he has held the position of ACA, Crew Chief and his current role as an Maintenance Operations Controller where he is responsible for the technical dispatch for a fleet of 25 Embraer 175s. Bruno has been passionate about aviation since his childhood and is also an avid aviation photographer. You can find his work at jetstreamphotography.com
Josie StolarzInflight Specialist
Josie’s career in aviation started back in 2012 where she started as a Flight Attendant with Sunwing Airlines. Later she then decided to join Air Canada where she continued her journey as Cabin Crew with Air Canada Rouge. During her time there, she became an In-Charge flight attendant and then later took an instructor assignment where she trained new hires as well as current flight attendants on regulatory safety and emergency procedures. She than accepted another assignment with Rouge in a training design position where she helped maintain the training programs that instructors use to facilitate in-class structured lesson plans which must be approved by Transport Canada. Her current role today is with Air Canada as a Training Specialist where she trains new hires as well as current flight attendants on safety aspects of their day to day operations and how to manage emergency situations. Her passion is to truly educate cabin crew on how to deal with these abnormal situations as safety is her first and last priority.
